| Disney Cruises once sailed almost exclusively in the Caribbean. That will change for a few weeks in 2005 with 12 trips to Mexico from Los Angeles in honor of Disneyland Park’s 50th anniversary. So even west coasters will be able to experience the excitement of a Disney cruise and not be far from home. On Disney Cruises that stop in the Caribbean, a much-welcomed port is Castaway Cay, Disney Cruises’ private island. While there you can hang out at the beach, play water sports, bike, and catch Disney character appearances in the children’s area. |

| Disney Cruises currently has two ships on the ocean. The Disney Magic sails 7-night itineraries starting from Cape Canaveral. These sailings alternate between Eastern and Western Caribbean ports. Sister ship, the Disney Wonder also sails from Cape Canaveral on 3- and 4- night cruises with stops at Nassau and Castaway Cay. Many families choose to vacation in Orlando at the Disney theme parks before heading to the water for floating vacations. While Disney Cruises are geared towards families, you will find some couples enjoying a honeymoon or anniversary without the kids! |

| While Disney Cruises are geared to families, older folks have more than just a pool in which to escape. Palo is a boutique eatery featuring Northern Italian cuisine; reserve the minute you get on board because capacity is very limited. The spa is also off-limits to the younger generation; one of its highlights is the rain forest steam room. There are also bars and a nightclub for a quiet respite. Family-oriented features include the elaborate Walt Disney Theatre, which resembles a plush Broadway house; the Buena Vista Theatre, which features Disney Corporation flicks; and Studio Sea, styled like a television sound stage and offering a forum for G-rated floor shows. |
